Welcome to 371 Chorales.
This is a blog about the German life and times of Frank Pesci, an American composer. In 2013, he moved to Germany with his wife, Emily Hindrichs and their Chocolate Lab, Sam.
- there he is…
It’s a blog about what happened when an American couple moved from a 1,400 square foot apartment that looked out onto New England conservation land and had a Whole Foods down the street, to a 700 square foot one-bedroom in Karlsruhe, Germany, and then to the beautiful city of Cologne, all in search of stability and togetherness.
It’s a blog about a composer who’s gone Pro, who uses Bach’s three hundred and seventy one, four-part chorales for practice, guidance, education and finger warm ups, and who is navigating the waters between secure, local connections and infinite global possibility.
It’s also about food, as this particular composer loves to cook.
And in the process, we lost our dear Sammy, but not before we added a certain rough-and-tumble girl, who continues to add to the hilarity.
